How we renovate a bathroom ? Step by step description
Sergio from Any Bathroom Inc. says “Once we finalize all the bathroom design details and bathroom finishings & set up a start date for a Reno project – We begin shopping and ordering & supplying bathroom fixtures like large format tile, shower system , vanity , vanity mirror and faucet.
DAY 1. Is a demolition day where we carefully cover the stairs with drop sheets and begin to remove the old tub ,remove old vanity, remove old bathroom tiles, old bathroom fixtures.
Day 2. Once bathroom demolition is complete we start working on a bathroom plumbing.Our Licensed Plumber will be Removing an old P traps, removing and old shower system, and installing a new shower system with rain head and handheld , we also install a new tub or install new shower drain for a stand up shower or walk in shower , at that point we may also create a curbless shower or add a shower bench.
Day 3. Bathroom Electrical work is always performed by a licensed electrician. we are Changing a bathroom switches and adding a new receptacle, Any Bathroom Inc. will also change an exhaust bathroom fan or add a new bathroom if needed.
Day 4. Any bathroom Inc will start preparing a bathroom for tile installation that includes installing a waterproof backerboard or denshield, drywall and apply waterproofing materials like schluter systems or prove to a wet areas around the perimeter of the tub or shower area. At that point Any Bathroom applies drywall mud patching up all the old screw holes and old drywall imperfections.
Day 5. Tile installation . We usually start tiling the shower floor with a mosaic tiles or a non slip tile designed for bathroom shower floor.
Day 6. Any Bathroom Inc. will start the final stage of completing a bathroom. Starting with a two generous coats of bathroom primer following by 2 coats of durable and washable wall paint from Benjamin Moore.
